      Maintenance Executive: Qualification-qualified electrician Qualified and certified in electrical safety Similar textile industry experience preferred BASIC INFORMATION Position and area: Maintenance JobDESCRIPTION  Is familiar with the role of maintenance in securing the operational preconditions of production.  Is able to locate faults caused by mechanical, electrical or control equipment failure utilising maintenance manuals, operational inspections and, when needed, measuring instruments.  Is able to compile preventive maintenance, failure monitoring and operational inspection instructions utilising maintenance manuals and equipment documentation (maintenance DVD in modular laundries).  Is able to utilise help from external maintenance service providers/contractors if needed to solve problems or make repair work plans.  Is able to read English language documents with the help of a dictionary to such extent that s/he is able to manage the required maintenance and repair tasks.  Is familiar with the basic idea and principles of preventive maintenance, failure monitoring, operational control and corrective maintenance.  Understands the influence of maintenance on the operational life span and reliable operation of machines, on the trouble-free operation of the production process as well as on the quality and total production costs of the products.  Understands the functioning of the machine module and its water, wastewater, steam and electrical systems and how each separate part or system of the machine module contributes to the proper functioning of the machine module as a whole. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  Is responsible for organising maintenance activities and compiling, realising and monitoring the preventive maintenance plan (based on the maintenance DVD in modular laundries).  Is responsible for carrying out and planning (in co-operation with his/her supervisor) of corrective maintenance, failure monitoring and reporting of any disturbances in machines or processes.  Is responsible for securing the energy supply of the laundry (water, electricity, natural gas and steam).  Is responsible for maintaining proper condition of the buildings, machines, equipment and outdoor areas of the laundry. KEY TASKS  S/He shall, during daily production inspections, be able to detect and locate any malfunction in the production system as a whole or in its different parts and on his/her own initiative take immediate action to correct any observed malfunctions.  S/He shall use PI-schemes and functional descriptions of different machines and systems in his/her maintenance work  S/He shall locate faults caused by mechanical, electrical or control equipment failure utilising maintenance manuals, operational inspections and, when needed, measuring instruments.  S/He shall use existing equipment databases or documentation to find information on spare parts, drawings, open maintenance tasks and the fault history of the equipment in question and shall frequently update the aforementioned databases and documents.  S/He shall follow safety regulations when performing maintenance tasks.  S/He shall frequently monitor maintenance indicators and take necessary action when deviations are detected.  S/He understands the values, mission, vision and strategy of his/her own company and unit.  S/He shall maintain and update machine and equipment lists, including IT equipment.  S/He shall maintain contact with external maintenance providers and supervise their work and operations.  S/He shall develop methods, tools and equipment used in maintenance work in cooperation with the INV Competence Centre COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS  Qualified electrician; qualified in 1kV electrical device repair work. Qualifications in max. 1 kW general electrical work and supervision of max. 20 kV electrical work recommended.  Qualified and certified in electrical safety.  Engineer fitter education/experience (desirable/advantage).  Automation fitter education/experience (desirable/advantage).  English language (passable).  Over 3 years work experience in an equivalent position.  Proficient in basic IT programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and Internet).  Hot work card or equivalent.
