REQUIRED SKILLS

Recognized as an authority in the subject matter by the community and outside employer organization and is therefore able to present innovations, ways of working, achievements, etc. in external forums.
Can coach and train all levels of Engineers in this subject matter.
Ability to prepare detailed Tolerance stack-up analysis and recommend feasible solutions in accordance with manufacturing capabilities
Have clear understanding on various costs involved on proposed technical solutions
Capable of recommending appropriate fasteners for various assemblies
Good drawing reading skills and dimensioning standard

The goal of the RADAR system engineering is to develop and deploy production quality software and system platforms to our customers and partners to enable them to build autonomous driverless vehicles using the 77GHz RADAR technology with both automotive and industrial applications. This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills who works well in a diverse environment across a geographically distributed organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, Develop and Validate embedded system software and device drivers for RADAR front end, chips and products.
Target system may be bare-metal or OS-based framework, on an ARM or other embedded processors.
Test and Debug RADAR evaluation systems using test equipment and test automation
Design and implement test automation software as required
Develop test code/scripts for logical and functional test of the software. Familiarity with SW methods, C, Python, and Labview programming and microprocessors is a definite plus.
Deliver quality Software with very good documentation (Software is used by customers in end application systems)
Follow coding standard and code documentation requirements
Participate in code reviews
Work with RF, IC/System Designers, FPGA Designers, Applications Engineers, and other software team members.
Lead definition, build system prototypes and/or technology demonstrators to explore new technology or architecture ideas. Work with our partners to further enhance our offerings in system platform solutions
Collaborate with Marketing Group and the rest of the System Applications Group to engage with customers to understand, define and document customer system requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or higher in electrical, electronics, computer science or a related field
Working experience with embedded software, embedded frameworks and device drivers is an asset.
Knowledge of system architectures, and Programming experience in C, Python, .NET framework and Labview is a definite plus, as is familiarity with microprocessors and related toolchains.
Working knowledge and practical experience with technologies used in RF systems, including antenna/sensors, power management, data communications, control theory, etc. Preferably capable of understanding RADAR systems.
Ability to interact effectively with customers.
Ability to develop, document, rationalize and present system requirements to a diverse audience of engineers.
Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and set priorities to deliver on schedule.
